Creating emotionally honest storytelling across audio, film, and nonfiction.
Born from a decade of listening to untold stories...
Meet the Founder
Michelle Anderson is the founder of Clopêt Media, an independent storytelling studio focused on emotionally honest audio, documentary, and nonfiction work.
For nearly a decade, she's built one of the largest, most engaged communities for people whose lives are shaped by a loved one's addiction. Her podcast, Love Over Addiction, has published more than 300 episodes and reached over 4 million downloads — evolving from a lifeline for women loving someone with a substance use disorder into a trusted platform for conversations about addiction, family, recovery, and resilience.
Michelle is now expanding into investigative journalism through a nonprofit she's forming, Public Care Media, focused on public education about addiction treatment and the systems that shape it — including a documentary series examining the luxury rehab industry. The archive and IP of Love Over Addiction are being contributed to support the new organization's programming, including a free resource series for families.
She holds a Certificate in the Psychology of Addiction and Recovery from Stanford's Center for Health Education, is certified in Couples and Addiction Recovery through The Gottman Institute, and is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Across her work, Michelle explores the stories people carry privately—family systems, institutional failures, identity, recovery, and the ways people rebuild their lives after crisis.
Whether reporting, producing, or interviewing, Michelle approaches storytelling the same way she built her audience: with honesty, curiosity, and a commitment to the people whose experiences are too often overlooked.
